Jules Sostre [She/they]

I am a Doctoral student at the University of Florida’s Counseling Psychology Program. I identify as a pansexual, gender-fluid, mixed, Boricua, and a first-generation college student. I engage in scholar-activism as a way to promote the liberation of QTBIPOC communities and am devoted to continue working and advocating for Queer and/or Trans Communities of Color throughout my life.

Gabriel M. Lockett [He, Him, His] 

Hello everyone, my name is Gabriel Lockett. My pronouns are he, him, his and I identify as a queer African American transman. I am a Ph.D. student at the University of Florida. My passion in life is to help others. I believe my purpose is to make this space we exist in better than it met us. I am to collectively spread love, liberation and wellbeing to QTBIPOC communities through scholar- activism. I enjoy photography, making music with my friends, laughing a lot, and anything about outer space.

Louis Lindley [he/him/his] is currently a doctoral student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Counseling Psychology Program, under the advisement of Dr. Stephanie Budge. Louis completed his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at the University of Texas at Arlington and his Master’s in Clinical Psychology at Towson University. His current lines of research include a focus on the social components of gender dysphoria, trans and nonbinary individuals’ coping responses, and their sexual satisfaction. Due to being raised in Texas but living in Wisconsin, Louis enjoys spending time outdoors with his partner and their three dogs in the summer and hiding under a blanket indoors during the winter.

Elliott Devore - university of tennessee, knoxville

Elliott DeVore [he/him/his] is a doctoral student in counseling psychology at the University of Tennessee. Previously, Elliott earned a master's degree in education and student affairs and graduate certificate in social justice in higher education from Iowa State University, interned at Macalester College in St. Paul, MN and worked professionally as a Residence Director at the University of San Francisco where he developed and facilitated student workshops on power, privilege, and oppression and peer support and personal development. His present line of research broadly investigates the impacts of structural oppression on the health behaviors, outcomes and experiences of gender and sexual minorities and intergroup dialogue.

Jo ramirez - University of Kansas

Jo ramirez - University of Kansas

Jo Ramirez [she/her/hers] is currently a doctoral student in the University of Kansas’ Clinical Psychology program. She works with Dr. Charlene Muehlenhard, who oversees the Sex Lab in KU’s Department of Psychology. She completed a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology in 2017 at Towson University in Towson, MD and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Human Sexuality in 2015 from the University of Kansas, Lawrence, KS. Presently, Jo is interested in topics pertaining to human sexuality, mental and sexual health, sexual minority and multiple-minority identity and experience, quantitative & mixed method analysis, and intersectional approaches to research practices. Her current projects focus on exploring sexual coercion in gay and bisexual male communities and examining the reasons why gay and bisexual men do or do not talk to others about their unwanted and coercive sexual experiences. In her free time, she enjoy playing tennis, cooking, drinking copious amounts of coffee, and supporting local art and music in Lawrence, KS. Jo is available for correspondence at jlramirez@ku.edu.

Elizabeth Cardenas Bautista - University of georgia

Elizabeth Cárdenas Bautista, M.Ed., is a first year doctoral student in the Counseling Psychology program at the University of Georgia under the advisement of Dr. Delgado Romero. Elizabeth completed a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Human Services with a minor in Biology at, Clayton State University, located in Morrow Georgia. Elizabeth earned her Master’s of  Education (M.Ed.) in Professional Counseling at the University of Georgia, in Athens, Georgia. Elizabeth is a member of the ¡BIEN! Research Team which is a research and service team under the direction of Edward Delgado-Romero, Ph.D., the Associate Dean for Faculty and Staff Services and professor for the Department of Counseling and Human Development Services at UGA. Through the ¡BIEN! Research Team Elizabeth has collaborated in research projects and service outreach in the Athens community. Elizabeth’s research interests include multicultural counseling, Latinx mental health, social justice, and advocacy. Elizabeth is focused on complex trauma and post traumatic growth encountered in immigrant communities due to mixed document status in families and the relationship with social-political climate. Elizabeth is passionate about providing competent and accessible bilingual/bicultural counseling services to the Latinx community.
