Jasmine M. Koech [she/her/ella] joined the ReSIsT lab in 2019. Originally from West Virginia, she received her bachelors degree in Psychology and Latin American Studies from West Virginia University. She continued her education at the College of William and Mary earning her Masters in Experimental Psychology. Her masters thesis investigated the relationship between contact experiences with Latinx individuals and implicit and explicit biases. Her research interests involve the unique experiences of those who are members of the Latinx community including ethnic and racial identities, access and barriers to mental health care, and translating research into advocacy. In her spare time she enjoys reading, wheeling her Jeep (Gertie) in the mountains, and taking her dog Gabby on as many adventures as possible.
