Lex Pulice-Farrow, M.A., [They/Them/Theirs] is a doctoral student in Counseling Psychology at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Originally from Sarasota, FL, Lex earned their Bachelor's of Arts in Psychology (with a minor in English Literature) from Agnes Scott College in 2014, and their Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology from Towson University in 2017. At Towson University, Lex's Master's thesis focused on the romantic relationships of transgender individuals. Presently, Lex takes a strengths-based approach to focus on the lived experiences of gender and sexual minorities. They use a Participatory Action Research framework, and see research as advocacy work for sexual and gender minority folks. In their teaching, Lex believes in creating spaces in academia that are affirming for trans and gender diverse students, as well as advocacy through classroom visibility. As a researcher and academic, Lex is dedicated to creating environments that prioritize and center marginalized students and populations.
