Saumya Arora [she/her/hers] joined the ReSIsT lab in 2019. Originally from California, she completed her Bachelor of Science in Psychology at the University of Minnesota–Twin Cities. Saumya's research interests are in the mental health and well-being of sexual minority BIPOC, South Asian mental health, and advocacy through research. In the future, she hopes to use her work to support sexual minority BIPOC through research, counseling practice, and community advocacy. Saumya currently serves as a Justice and Equity Co-Chair on the Student Affiliates of Seventeen Executive Board. In her spare time, Saumya enjoys playing video games and putting on bright eyeshadow.
